MV copper wire shielded power cable
Application
IEC 60502-2 copper wire shielded MV cable (6kV to 30kV) for transformers, switchgears, GIS substations, motors, generators, and feeder circuits. Suitable for cable tray, duct, and direct burial.
Core Strengths
Uncontrolled electrical stress causes insulation breakdown. Our copper wire shield provides uniform field distribution, corona suppression, and fault return path. CE/TÜV/ISO. Fast delivery.
Standard
IEC60502, SANS 1339, BS 6622, AS/NZS1429.1, NFC 33226, CSA C 68.3, ICEA S 93-639 , ICEA S 94-649
Construction
Conductor: Stranded copper (class 2)
Conductor screen: Semiconductive layer
Insulation: XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene)
Insulation screen: Semiconductive layer
Copper wire screen: Helically applied copper wires (with optional copper tape)
Outer sheath: PVC or PE
Features
Rated voltage: 5kV to 46kV (or 6/10kV to 18/30kV)
XLPE insulation – 90°C continuous, 250°C short-circuit
Copper wire screen – uniform electric field distribution, corona suppression
Copper screen provides low-impedance fault return path
Suitable for transformers, switchgears, GIS substations, motors, generators
Installation: cable trays, ducts, direct burial, or aerial (with proper support)
100% factory tested to IEC 60502-2 or ICEA standards
