Application

IEC 60502-2 24kV single-core CIS cable (1x240mm²) with longitudinal water blocking (LWB) for tunnels, industrial facilities, and high-humidity environments requiring water ingress prevention. Installation: direct burial, ducts, cable trays.

Construction

Conductor: Stranded copper (Cu) or aluminum (Al), class 2

Insulation: XLPE (cross‑linked polyethylene) with conductor & insulation screens

Metallic screen: Copper tape (CTS) or copper wire

Armor: Optional – tape or steel wire, available upon request

Outer sheath: PVC (standard) or PE

Features

Rated voltage: 24kV (Uo/U up to 12/20kV, Um=24 kV)-

XLPE insulation – 90°C continuous, 250°C short‑circuit

Copper tape / wire screen – uniform electric field and corona suppression

Optional tape or wire armor – mechanical protection (selectable)

Excellent resistance to chemical corrosion, heat aging & environmental stress-14

Compliant with IEC 60502‑2, SANS 1339, BS 6622, AS/NZS 1429.1, NFC 33‑226, CSA C68.3, ICEA S‑93‑639, ICEA S‑94‑649-14

Suitable for power transmission and distribution lines (up to 46 kV system)-14
