5-46KV Concentric Neutral Cables
Application
CSA C68.5 / ANSI/ICEA S-94-649 concentric neutral cable (5kV to 46kV) for primary underground residential distribution (URD) in single-phase or three-phase networks. Triple extruded TRXLPE insulation. 1/3 neutral design. Direct burial or underground duct.
Core Strengths
Separate grounding conductors increase cost and complexity. Our concentric neutral integrates neutral with core, simplifying installation while maintaining fault return path.Factory direct.
Standard
IEC60502, SANS 1339, BS 6622, AS/NZS1429.1, NFC 33226, CSA C 68.3, ICEA S 93-639 , ICEA S 94-649
Construction
Conductor: Stranded copper (class 2)
Conductor screen: Semiconductive layer
Insulation: XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene)
Insulation screen: Semiconductive layer
Copper wire screen: Serves as both shield and concentric neutral
Outer sheath: PVC or PE
Features
Rated voltage: 5kV to 46kV (CSA/ICEA standard for URD applications)
XLPE insulation – 90°C continuous, 250°C short‑circuit
Integrated concentric neutral – combines shielding, grounding, and neutral in one layer
1/3 neutral design (typical) – simplifies installation, reduces cable cost
Suitable for primary underground residential distribution (URD) – single‑phase or three‑phase
Installation: direct burial or underground duct in wet/dry locations
100% factory tested to CSA C68.5 / ICEA S‑94‑649
